Filmscreening + discussion with two Ghanaian human rights activists on the right to protest, its suppression and the colonial roots!

 /2

🗣️📢Freedom of assembly is a human right! Nevertheless, the right to protest is under pressure worldwide. ‼️Given the power of protests, governments increasingly deem it necessary to restrict them.

🇬🇭👥 We will talk to two young Ghanaian human rights activists about their experiences and about the situation in Germany.

- What is the current state of the freedom of assembly?
- Why are protests necessary for democracies?
- Which colonial continuities still restrict the freedom of assembly today?
- What can we do against police violence?

We will host a:

📍Amnesty Office Hamburg (Kleine Seilerstr. 1, St. Pauli)
